Ruben Apodaca Gonzalez

Ruben passed away peacefully on January 18, 2022 at the age of 68. Born on July 19, 1953 in San Jose, CA to Ruben and Guadalupe Gonzales. He moved to Mexicali, Mexico at 7 months and returned back to San Jose when he was 7 years old. Ruben’s siblings are Louie Apodaca (deceased), MaryLou Hawkins and Victor Gonzales. Ruben graduated from San Jose High School in 1971. He started working for Soko Hardware and Plumbing when he was 16 years old and held many positions in Semiconductor Business for both Memorex and Applied Materials.

In February 1971 he met his wife Rosa Guel, they were married June 29, 1974 for 47 years. They had four beautiful children Santiago (deceased), Marcela, Clarissa (Jose) and Ruben Jr (Ballerina). Ruben was also a very proud Grandfather to Agustin, Maximiliano, Thiago and step-grandson Gian.

A visitation for Ruben will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM (Family only); 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Family and Friends at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave. San Jose, CA 95125.

A funeral service will occur on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave. San Jose, CA 95125.

A witness cremation will on occur Monday, February 7, 2022 following services at 2:00 PM at Oak Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 300 Curtner Ave. San Jose, CA 95125.
