Pat died Christmas morning after celebrating a traditional Andrews holiday complete with the apricot glaze atop the Cornish game hens. A Willow Glen resident for more than 60 years, Pat raised her children just blocks from where she and her brother Peter grew up.
Her career as an educator began at Presentation H.S. before landing a job at West Valley in 1987. Then for 33 years, Pat shared her love of History and passion for politics with thousands. Although none earned an “Easy A” from Ms. Andrews, she was a favorite among the student body. Pat also served as Division Chair and Union President at WV. She never feared taking on “The Man” for the right reason. She loved the challenge but relished the win.
Pat enjoyed traveling, experiencing new cultures, watching the leaves change color in the fall, and playing the slots. And she did it all with her beloved Bob for more than 50 years.
Our brilliant and bold matriarch loved us unconditionally, inspired us joyfully, provided for us generously, advised us intelligently, and encouraged us whole heartedly.
Although we have lost a limb from our family tree, we will remain strong and honor thee.
