Mary Grace Murray died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the devoted Mother of Mary Ann Fiamingo (Mike), John F. Murray (Terri), William J. Murray (Katherine); Michael D. Murray, Terence P. Murray, Francis X. Murray (Kris), Phillip N. Murray (Linda), Patrick T. Murray, Martin A. Murray, Timothy P. Murray (Marina), and Mary Kay Mercer (Mark). Grandmother of 28 and Great-Grandmother of 12, with a 13th due in January. Mary Grace was pre-deceased by her husband John F. (“Jack”) Murray, daughters Mary Beth Kolstad and Mary Grace Murray, son-in-law Scott Kolstad and daughter-in law Toni Murray.

Mary Grace was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to California with Jack following their wedding in 1950. Mary Grace worked as a registered nurse (R.N.) for over thirty five years, most of which were as a post-partum nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, California, all while raising her children. A devoted Catholic and member of St. Frances Cabrini Parish in San Jose since its formation in the ‘Red Barn’ in the 1950s.

A quiet and humble woman, her life centered on her family, of whom she was extremely proud and loved very much. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Lima Family Erickson Memorial Chapel, 710 Willow Street in San Jose, followed by a rosary at 4 p.m.. A funeral mass will be celebrated on December 18, 2017 at 1 p.m., at St. Frances Cabrini Church, 15333 Woodard Road, San Jose, followed by burial service at Los Gatos Memorial Park.
