Our Dearest Mama Judy, 

A month and a half, that’s the amount of time I got to spend with you before God decided it was time for you to take your place in Heaven. Although that time wasn’t long enough, I will cherish it forever. 

During that time I got to take care of you, laugh with you, talk with you, cry with you, and during that time I learned things not only about you but also about myself that I never knew before. 

A month and a half, time I wouldn’t trade for the world. I want to thank you, thank you for being strong. Thank you for being brave. Thank you for your endless love and support. Thank you for being vulnerable. Thank you for being you. 

And most importantly thank you for constantly bringing me closer to God, not a moment went by that you wouldn’t remind me that God is always there even when it doesn’t feel like it. 

Although you are gone now, you have left us with the next best thing. Your daughter, our mom. I see you in her more and more everyday. I know this time is going to be the hardest on her, along with the rest of our family. But we promise to take care of her, the way you took care of her and the way she has taken care of us. 

To know you have left us leaves tears in our eyes but now you have joined God and our other angels in the sky. The time we spent together we will cherish forever. This is not a goodbye just a see you later. 

Continue to watch over us, protect us, and guide us.

Dear Mama Judy,
 
Thank you for welcoming me into your family. Thank you for the amazing man you raised, that I call my husband. Thank you for showing me to use gloves when I wash dishes or clean the house. Mama Judy you have thought me so much. I will always remember your warm meals. The way you took care of everyone around you even before yourself. I will always remember how hard you worked, leaving the house at 5:00 am. to be at work by 6:00 am. I loved the times we would sit and talk for hours. I can still hear your voice, your laughter. Every time I would see you, you always had that soft touch that made me feel so loved. I pray that I learn from your kindness.
Your love for our Kids was like your own. I loved the bond you had with Donny. As soon as he would come home from school, he would run to Grandma’s house. Often times you would drive up and I would see Donny in the front seat! You both would just look at me and grin 😁! Till this day, every time I picture you two driving up it makes me smile. When we had Sam, you told me she will be ok. You have always made us feel reassured. You were like an Angel. Also every time someone came to spend the night, you would always give up your own bed. You would always do and do, from the heart! Your heart and love goes beyond words. You have always reminded me of my Grandma Pura. For you two were so much alike. I love you and will miss you beyond words. Until we meet again.

Dearest Mama Judy,
You meant the world to me. You gave me strength and wisdom all throughout my life. Always encouraging me giving me the confidence to be the best person I can be.

In good times or bad you had a dicho for any situation…passed down from many generations….you’d say something like “este dicho viene de los antquos”… and they always seemed to fit.
You always made us feel and see the very best side of ourselves…to focus on the good. Even in difficult situations…she would say something like “Ni modo” or “¡En la torre!”! And stay positive!

Mama Judy you have a heart of gold….and you will be sorely missed. We will see you again soon in your new home in heaven. Rest in Heavenly Peace Mama Judy.

My Mama Judy,

If I just had one more day!  I would Thank you for allowing me to care and watch over you these last months of your life.  I would thank you for sharing your vulnerable side with me.
I hope that I made you proud and helped you to go in peace. 
I will love you forever and miss you daily!

Learning to do life without you will be one of the hardest things that I ever do.  
But I know that moving forward is what you would want your loved one’s to do…. to move forward and live life to the fullest.  To have no fear, to take chances and live without regrets.

You have taught me so much throughout my life; you have guided and protected me through some rough patches.  When I didn’t let you guide me, you let me make mistakes, but you were always there to pick me back up and give me strength.

From losing you I have realized that I need to cherish more things in life, to show people I love them and take in every small moment, to appreciate every small opportunity that I get to spend with the people that I love.  

I thought we had more time, more time to laugh, more time to travel, more time to cook together!
Someday...…. I will perfect that pancake recipe, just you watch and see. (lol)

We may no longer be together, but your love will carry us through.  Continue to watch over us, protect us and guide us.  

Until we meet again, you will always be in our hearts!

My condolences to the Sosa Family. My prayers are with you all. Grandma Judy will be truly missed. She has a huge heart and always so welcoming. Her garden and Pink roses were always my favorite. Judy definitely has a green thumb. I can definitely vouch in the fact she should’ve owned her own restaurant with the amazing food she cooked. She would always tell me, Mija you take care of you and your son always. I promise I always will. I’m here for you all through these tough times. Let’s continue to celebrate and appreciate life the way she would want us to.
