With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jorge Negrete Vasquez, who departed from this world on May 13, 2024. He was born on November 9, 1978, in San Jose, California and grew up surrounded by the love of his family and extended relatives in the vibrant community of San Jose.
Jorge's greatest pride and joy were his two daughters, Evalyn (21) and Deja (16). He adored them endlessly and cherished every moment spent with them, as well as with his beloved nieces and nephews: Daymian (16), Ava (9), and Giovanni (1). His dedication to his family knew no bounds, and his presence brought warmth and laughter to every gathering.
In addition to his immediate family, Jorge is survived by his loving parents, Jorge and Lupe Vasquez, and his three brothers, Emanuel, Christian, and Jonathan, along with their families. He leaves behind a large circle of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends all of whom were touched by his kindness and humor.
Throughout his life, Jorge pursued various careers, but it was in the food service industry where he found true fulfillment. His passion for hospitality shone brightly in every role he undertook, and he left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Jorge's infectious sense of humor and zest for life made him the life of every party, and his laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him.
A celebration of Jorge's life, along with a Rosary and visitation, will be held on June 6 from 4-8 pm at the Chapel of The Roses at Oak Hill Cemetery. A funeral service and burial will take place on June 7 at 11 am, also at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Though Jorge may no longer walk among us, his spirit will forever shine brightly, guiding us through life's journey with memories of his infectious laughter and unwavering love.
May Jorge Negrete Vasquez rest in eternal peace, knowing that he was cherished beyond measure and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
