Deepest condolences to every love ones. Though the world is dark. We are able to see light in the memories Jaime had with his family and friends. Great memories will not fade.

Jaime, brother, though cannot believe this transpired a day or so after receiving notice about your condition, I do have regrets. Regrets did not spend more time with you. Regrets we didn’t have any heart-to-heart conversations and determine what I could do. I hope you had a purpose. I hope you had someone to love. I hope you had something to do. And I hope you had something to look forward to. My daughter tells me you were fine days ago. Whatever the reason you left us so soon, I know that though you didn’t become the air traffic controller or the pilot you dreamed of becoming, you had your pilot lessons and in the end you traveled to places I can only imagine, practically all continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, South America. I think you just needed Australia and Antarctica. Thank you for all the memories: being my date to view Swan Lake when I didn’t have a date, playing board games for hours and hours and for being a great role model to my sons who I imagine will emulate and follow you in your footsteps. I heard that you were concerned about leaving us, my response to that “Don’t trip.” Your phrase to any concern, “Don’t trip.” I miss you, Jaime, and I wish we spent more time together. We could have gone to the Cinco de Mayo fiestas in our parents’ hometown. We could have gone to our cousin’s lounge in Puerto Vallarta. You could have been the handy man on my “mini” mansion that am about to purchase in the Great Plains. You may not be there to fix my fixer-upper but I believe you will be there in spirit. I truly wish we had more time together and though I have more memories of you as a child and a young boy, the eldest of the boys in the family, I cherish every moment with you. I’m sorry I didn’t spend more time with you as an adult but raising my family became a priority and the business kept the family busy on the weekends and we didn’t make time for you guys. I’m sorry. Thank you for helping us out at the beginning and for being the best brother ever. Love Lisa
