He was a devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather to Taylor, Ryan, Isabella, Aderyn and Zoe. He will be missed by his sister Teresa and brother Samuel, as well as his extended family including brother and sister in laws and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was born August 4, 1939 to Aristeo “Charlie” and Martina Alfaro in Antioch, California. He played starting positions on both offense and defense and his football team was the League Football Champions of 1957. An excellent student, he took college prep courses. After high school he went on to attend Contra Costa College and then San Francisco State. He was drafted into the service and served two years in the army, honorably discharged as a Sargent. After the military he completed his undergraduate degree, earning a BS in Business from Cal State East Bay.
Daniel spent the majority of his professional, adult life working for Center for Employment Training. During the course of his life he also dabbled in real estate investment. After his retirement, he spent his days gardening, working on his art, completing wood working projects, and spending time with his family, which was by far his favorite past time.
He touched many lives and he will be sadly missed.
