Violet Mundy Sparks passed away on October 15, 2023 in Hemet, California. She was born on September 19, 1922 in Tazewell, Virginia to her parents, Joseph and Margaret Mundy. Violet was the 7th of 10 children. As a young woman Violet was an active member at her local church and that is where she met the love of her life, Glenn Eddy Sparks. Violet and Glenn got married on June 22, 1942 and had two children together. Violet was a dedicated wife and loving mother. She loved to travel and was willing to try almost anything (hot air balloon, zip lines, driving a race car at 105mph on her 100th birthday, indoor parachutes and driving her motorhome to Alaska 3 times by herself). Violet's motto for a long life was "Don't wait to do the things you want to do". She was preceded in passing by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Mundy, her husband, Glenn Sparks Sr., and her daughter, Loraine (Lori) Page. Violet is survived by her son, Glenn Sparks Jr., four grandchildren (James Sparks, Tommy Pelham, Anita Bishop and Tony Pelham) and 12 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 from 8:00am-9:00am at Miller-Jones Mortuary located at 165 W. 7th Street, San Jacinto, California 92583. A witness burial ceremony will follow at 10:00am at Riverside National Cemetery located 22495 Van Buren Boulevard, Riverside, California 92518.
