Wilson Peter Jacobs was born and raised in Southern California. He grew up near East Los Angeles and eventually married and settled in the San Gabriel Valley. He was married to his beautiful wife Maria who passed away in 2013. He had two sons, Chris and David and two grandchildren. He was a martial artist having studied under Ed Parker, Dan Inosanto, and Bruce Lee. He loved studying and teaching martial arts and he continued to teach a small group in his private studio until about four years ago.
He worked for more than thirty years as an Ironworker in Local 416 in Los Angles. He built and worked on many projects during that time, including Big Thunder Railroad at Disneyland and the Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital.
His passion was spending time with family and friends and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. His friends knew him as “Pete” and he would always be willing to talk to someone about anything and he was always willing to help a friend or family member in need.
In the last year of his life he had heart surgery to replace a valve and complete a small bypass. From that operation on he was hit with minor health setbacks from which he was able to fight back. However, in the end he faced one too many complications and grew too exhausted to continue the fight. He went to be with the Lord on March 27th, surrounded by his family.
Arrangements under the direction of Pierce Brothers Turner & Stevens Mortuary, San Gabriel, CA.
