Neil Louis Golden passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side. A native of Oakland, Neil devoted his life to family and to his community. He Graduated Skyline High School in 1964, went on to study business administration at San Francisco State University, and earned a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University. He began his long career as a civil servant working as a business analyst for the Department of Defense and later retired from the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office. Neil cherished his retirement years traveling, reading, and socializing with family and friends.
Neil was preceded in death by his father William Harrison Golden Jr., and is survived by his son Garvey Golden, mother Eunice Golden, brother William Paul Golden, and grandchildren Claire and Sean Golden. Neil is loved and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. The family has invited friends invited friends to attend the memorial service on February 10 at 1pm at St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 3725 High Street, Oakland, CA.
