Emily Kuan

Emily was delivered into this world when the full moon shone most brightly in the sky.

Emily’s educational journey began in the heart of China, from primary school to college. After earning her degree from Chungshan University (中山大學), she embarked on a fulfilling career as a school teacher at Pui Ching (培正) Middle School in Hong Kong.

Emily married Wo Chiang Kuan (関和章) in the early 50’s and gave birth to two children: Stewart and Florinda.

In 1963, the family emigrated to the United States and made their home in San Francisco. Emily worked for a wholesale company (Wing On Company - 永安公司) for 25 years. Emily retired in 1989.

Emily was preceded in death by her husband Wo Chiang and her daughter Florinda.

Emily is survived by her son Stewart, daughter-in-law Lydia Kuan; Grand-Children-Isabel Rosenstine, Timothy Kuan, Justin Chan, and Julian Chan; Great-Grand Children-William Kuan, Raeliana Kuan, Tyler Rosenstine, Austin Rosenstine, Siena Rosenstine.

Emily will always be remember her devotion to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We pray that Emily is resting in peace.

With our love, we bid Emily a tearful farewell for now. Someday, we will meet again in Heaven.
