Edna Louise Pang, née Eng, aged 93, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, February 26, 2016 in hospice care at The San Francisco Towers. Born in San Francisco, California on March 31, 1922, Mrs. Pang was the youngest daughter of Mr. Quong Ming Eng and Mrs. Lew Shee Eng, and grew up in Oakland, California. Upon graduating Oakland High School, she became a clerical worker at the War Department during WWII where she met her first husband who went on to serve in the Army Air Corps. Mrs. Pang was a long time resident of the Outer Parkside District of San Francisco, and was employed as a bookkeeper for the Bricklayers Local 7, Allied Craftsmen Union for 36 years, retiring in 1989. She was also a keen social organizer and served in that capacity for her children at St. Mary's Elementary, Sacred Heart High School, then at the San Francisco Chinese Golf Club, the American Legion Cathay Post 384 with her second husband, and then even later for the now retired Senator Quentin Kopp. Mrs. Pang throughout her remaining years was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, an avid World traveler, who loved to play mahjong, and was voted a Life Member of The San Francisco Archers, Sharps Park, California. She is preceded in death by her first husband Frederick H. Lee, her second husband Lynn Shaw Pang, her daughter Rosalyn Frances Lee Herrera, her brothers: Herbert and Frank Eng, and her sisters: Edith Eng Wong and Bessie Eng Yee. Mrs. Pang is survived by her twin sons: Gerald and Terence Lee, her son in law, Valois James Herrera, her grandchildren: Cherie and Michael Herrera, her sister Ida Eng Lim, her brother Wilfred Eng, her bothers in laws: Pap and Tim Pang, as well as her many nieces and nephews, most notably: Carolyn and Jim Reeves Jr. of Benicia, CA. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses of the Neuro Critical Care Unit at U.C.S.F. Medical Hospital, especially Louise Dowd, CCRN, and Hospice by the Bay for their kind attention and service.
