Peter Leo Kramer, also known as Pete, passed away on January 26, 2024, at the age of 80, in San Diego, California. He was born on May 21, 1943, in San Diego. Peter was a very intelligent, curious, gentle, kind, loving, and happy individual.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Wendy Kramer, and his daughters, Susan Kramer Swafford (Michael) and Anne Blemker (Scott) . He was also a beloved grandfather to Katelyn Ermeri, Corynne Swafford, Callan Swafford, Camryn Swafford, Kristen Swafford, Nicholas Swafford, Riley Blemker, John Swafford, Jamie Blemker, Dylan Swafford, and Kensie Swafford. Peter was preceded in death by his father, Lyle John Kramer, and his mother, Helmie Maria Kramer.
Peter had a distinguished military career, serving in the Air Force from 1965 to 1985. He was an Intelligence Officer, utilizing his sharp intellect and dedication to serve his country. Peter's commitment and contributions to the military were commendable.
In addition to his military service, Peter pursued higher education. He earned a Bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a Master's degree from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Outside of his professional life, Peter had a passion for building and painting 54 mm Military Miniatures. He skillfully crafted these miniatures and sold lead copies in various hobby shops. His creativity and attention to detail were evident in his work.
Peter Leo Kramer will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His memory will forever be cherished.
