Patrick Rory Muldoon, a life-long resident of Point Loma, CA, died unexpectedly on November 23, 2017 at the age of 24. Rory is survived by his parents, Michael and Jeannie, and his siblings, Glennis and Charlie.
Rory was born in San Diego on April 16, 1993. At a young age, Rory’s artistic abilities became apparent. With support from his family, his talent blossomed and art quickly became his life’s passion. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration in May 2017 and worked as a freelance illustrator. He had completed a large mural at the Salvation Army Center in San Diego and had been commissioned to create a mural at the Sisters of Charity Contemplation Center.
Although Rory spent much of his time exploring his artistic horizons and honing his skills against a background of classical and epic choral music, he was also an amateur historian and herpetologist. He was filled with information and was always excited to learn more. His creativity, candidness and smile will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
A Celebration of life is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on December 8 at Sacred Heart Church of Ocean Beach. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in his name to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, the Turtle Survival Alliance or the Matthew Toole Fund.
