Norberto Abril

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on January 12, 2021 at El Camino Memorial Park outside at the Chapel of the Bells. A live stream will be available via Zoom Meeting ID 850 6020 3065

Norberto was born in Solana Beach, California on June 15, 1935. He graduated from San Dieguito High School where he played football and received the award of MVP.

Norberto was married to his loving and caring wife Irma Abril on November 26,1960; they were married 60 years.

Norberto worked at Solana Lumber and then as a Carpenter. He enjoyed building anything especially houses, going to the Del Mar Racetrack, and watching sports such as NFL football and boxing. He also loved the Wild West and could often be found watching a good western on TV especially anything with John Wayne. He would tell stories of his travels with Irma to, one of his favorite places; Madrid, Spain and Rio De Janerio, Brazil.

Norberto is survived by his four children, Sandra Chwala and her husband Gary and their two children Austen DellaPelle and Cody, Norbert Abril and his wife Dorian and their two children Caiden and Cameron; Christine Godek and her husband Gary; their two children Alyssa and Gabriela; Jackie Scott and her husband Tony and their two children Greyson and Easten; Great-granddaughter Remy DellaPelle; sister Gloria Sandoval; and his beloved nieces and nephews. His friends including Robert and Paul.

Norberto is preceded in death by his parents, Jose Abril and Maria Abril; his sister, Antonia Gonzales and her son Vico; his two brothers Jesus Abril and Joe Abril.

Norberto will be laid to rest on January 19, 2021 at Miramar National Cemetery.

**Due to COVID the family will not host a gathering after the service.
