Manuel Martinho Fernandes was a proud tuna fisherman all his life. He loved his Portuguese heritage, family and of course his soccer. He passed away peacefully on August 12, 2105 surrounded by his loving family. His kindness, funny one liners and laughter will always be remembered. He was a one of a kind man. He is survived by his wife Veronica; his three daughters, Lisa, Brenda and Vanessa; and his four older sisters Mary Jo Fernandes, Pureza Garces, Connie Dasilva, and Feliz Daluz.
The viewing will be held at Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 18th at 5:00pm-8:00pm (with a rosary prayer beginning at 6:30pm.)
Funeral Services will be held at Saint Agnes Church on Wednesday, August 19th at 10:00am followed by the burial service at Holy Cross Cemetery.
