Madeline, 92, was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, godmother, cousin and friend. Born in Porticello, Sicily, she came to America in the 1930s and has resided in San Diego for almost 80 years. She was a cannery worker before marrying Joseph Tarantino in 1953. Madeline was a member of the Our Lady of the Rosary Madonna Del Lume Society and many other parish groups.
Madeline was preceded in death by her parents Giuseppe and Antonina Valenti, and husband Joseph Tarantino, to whom she was devoted for 52 wonderful years. She is survived by sons Anthony (Josephine) and Joseph (Cindy); grandchildren Joseph (Melissa), Nina (Jacobo), Lane, Michael, Matthew and Nicholas; great grandchildren Anthony, Chase, Alex, and Isabella; and many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends.
