Linda Lee Berguson of Carlsbad, California, passed away surrounded by family on December 26, 2021, at the age of 75. She was born July 15, 1946, in Seattle, Washington, to parents Thelma Holman (Winters) and William Holman. She was the youngest of 4 children. She moved to the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area at an early age and graduated from Edina High School in 1964. She married Bruce Howard Berguson on September 10, 1966 and they had 3 children – James, Cathy and Amy. Linda was the consummate mother, heavily involved with her children’s schools and competitive activities. She was always willing to help and assume responsibility for a project which needed to be done. They moved to Denver, Colorado, in 1984; to Glendale, California, in 1994; and finally settled in Carlsbad, California, in 2000. Linda's biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren – she always made them all feel special. She attended virtually every school program, sporting event, or activity possible. She enjoyed the ocean and sunsets in California, and the lake and mountain views from their vacation home in Summit County, Colorado. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Thelma and William Holman, her sister Patricia Berens, and her brother William Holman. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Bruce, her sister Janet Boland, her son James Berguson (Berkley) her daughters Cathy Gonzales (Darren) and Amy Berguson (Luke), her grandchildren Trevor, Kelsey, Ethan, Drew, Finley and Holden, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Her love, kindness, and creativity, as well as her constant encouragement and support, will be missed by all. A service for immediate family will be held the first week of January 2022 followed by a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280, Washington, DC, 20077, https://www.arthritis.org/.
