Julita Cruz Diramos, age 78 passed away at Park View Sharp Hospice Care on November 1, 2023. She was born in the Philippines to Delfin and Esperanza (Ricarte) Cruz. She was a graduate of Villamor High School (batch '61). In 1969, Julita married her high school sweetheart, Clarence Perido Diramos in the Philippines. During their marriage they travelled to many different locations due to Clarence being in the U.S. Navy.
Throughout Julita's life, she had been a servant of God, singing in the church choir, assisting with feeding the homeless, being a Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (C.C.D.) teacher for elementary and high school age Catholic students, being a Catholic Youth Group coordinator, and starting a scholarship program for needy students at her high school alma mater in the Philippines.
God's will continued when Julita and Clarence became homeowners, she opened her home for those in need, offering a bed to lay your head, food to keep you nourished, and most of all a place to feel loved and cared for. Family members, sailors serving with her husband, or friends of one of the children in the home were all welcomed and loved.
Julita's compassion and love was a direct reflection of her faith in God and the words of Jesus. While we celebrate the life of Julita, please be a blessing to those in your life as she was in yours.
Julita is survived by her husband Clarence, her children Lawrence, Darius, and Arlene, her daughter-in-laws Daisy and Yvette, and her grandchildren Raymond, Christian, Terry III, Kailani, Arianna, and Izzy.
Julita is interned at the Miramar National Cemetery in San Diego, California.
