Estella Rubalcaba Dunn

Estella Ruvalcaba Dunn was born on March 31,1928 in Jerome, Arizona to Nicanora Guerra and Zenon Ruvalcaba. She passed peacefully at home with her family on March 27, 2024, just 4 days shy of her 96th birthday.

She grew up in Chihuahua Mexico with her mother and sister Amelia Arandia who preceded her in death. There she met and married her husband James (Jimmy) Dunn. Together they had four children, 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. She moved with her young family to San Diego in 1949 where she was a devoted stay at home mother and wife.

At the age of 39 she became a Patient Representative at Mercy Hospital where she proudly worked for 23 years before retiring. Estella loved to travel the world, spend time with family and friends, paint, create amazing outfits for herself and others and was an avid gardener. You could often find Estella working in her beautiful yard up until she was 90 years old. She was an amazing, loving, caring, generous, fiercely independent, selfless, stunningly beautiful woman who was always responding to the needs of others. Her generous affections, compassion and love for her family and friends never ceased to end.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Sylvia Dunn, James Dunn, Hilda Solis and Edward Dunn, her grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
