Edgardo C. Co

Edgardo "Bibot" Co passed away on August 16, 2022 at the age of 70, in his hometown of San Diego, California. His battle with health issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile despite the pain; Bibot stayed strong until the end.

Bibot was born on April 2, 1952 in Masangkay, Manila to Tomas and Pacencia Co. His father was a Chinese businessman and his mother is a homemaker.

Bibot graduated from Mapua High School in 1970. His goal was to become a doctor. This dream was fulfilled when he attended college at UST College of Medicine. He graduated the year 1978 in BS Gen while finishing his internship. He met and married his wife Myrna Co; it was love at first sight.

Bibot built his career at Binondo, Manila, where he practiced medicine for over 25 years. Bibot is an active member of the Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club and was involved with various charities.

Bibot served as the President of multiple organizations, and enjoyed politics, traveling, as well as fine-dining. He, at the same time, devoted much of his time and energy to his family.

Bibot is survived by his lovely wife; Myrna Co, 2 sons; Edgie Mark and Edgardo Jr. Co, 1 daughter; Charlene Co-Wico, 4 grandchildren; Marc Vincent, Charisse and Carla Adria Wico, Ava Jewel Co.
