Dad-Why were you taken away from us so soon? Selfishly I may never want to understand or accept, but I know God has his plan. Why did it did it take such an act to realize how much you have taught me, and how much I really wanted to be like you? Humble, noble and true you were a man that took care of your family and loved them. To be able to walk in the shadow of your footsteps would be one the greatest accomplishments a man could achieve. I never realized how much you have taught me, or subconsciously how  I really wanted to be like you. It's all the little small subtle things that I find myself doing "just like my dad". Rick, I will always be thankful for being welcomed into your family so quickly, and how good you have been to both me and my mom. Watching how Alfredo and Richard and the girls truly adored you has often made me wish I had a father like you. Someday, I will get married and have children of my own. I hope I can be half of the husband, father and friend you have been. God must have needed you for something important to take you away, and I know you are in a much better place. I will miss you very much, and thank you for being you.

   We can not believe you are gone. Lost from our family, never again to see your smile, hear your laugh and recieve a hug when we have family events.
   We remember when we first met you, you were tall, good looking and so young. We remember how happy and blessed we felt when you and Tina told us you were going to get married.

  As a son in law you were the greatest. You will never know how many times we have thanked God for the gift of YOU in our lives, or how may times we have thanked God for the blessing of our grand children being born into the Virgen family.

   The Lord has gained a loving kind and faithful servent. We have lost a loving kind and faithful Son.

I cannot believe you left our lives one month ago yesterday. It feels like just yesterday I was feeding you ice chips in the  hospital bed. It feels like yesterday I was holding your hand as you said your last words. It feels like yesterday I lost the greatest man that will ever enter my life, my Dad.

It breaks my heart to think of the future, to know you wont physically be there during those special moments.  Our weddings, the birth of our children, the simple moments when you‘d just make us laugh. I know you're an angle looking down on us and that you're in a better place but I selfishly wish you were here.

There’s so much I want to say, to express, to show you. So much of who I am is made of what I learned from you. You will forever reflect in the way you've molded us. It's been a month & it seems just yestureday when i got the news. 

So many things to say and so little time, so many words left unspoken  but i just can't say goodbye! I wish i had just 5 more minutes to see you  smile or just one more hug, i wish i had 5 more minutes to let you know  what i have learned from you growing up.. 

You taught me that love & family are first you taught me to think of others before i think of myself and to always help someone in need. 

The most important thing of all I learned from you, is to share with others what you have to give which is love a smile or just to simply listen.. i wish i had just 5 more minutes to let you know how much you are loved, may your body rest in peace but may your spirt live in all of us... miss you

My heart was truly broken when I found out about my Nino's passing.  I can remember back to our many family gatherings at the park for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Family is important and those memories we create together is what is priceless in life.  Family gatherings will never be the same since an important piece of our family will be missing.  My heart goes out to my Nina Tina, my cousins and my Mama Vita and Nino Juvencio.  God definitely received a worthy angel and heaven is a better place because of it.  RIP

I was so sorry to hear of your loss. The thoughts of many are with you at this time of sorrow. I have worked with Rick for nearly 20 years.  I will miss his smile, his humor and his willingness to lend a helping hand.  He was kind, polite and always a gentleman.  May he rest in peace in heaven.
