Barbara Kay (Lautenschlager) Williams, 75, of Highland, CA passed away on July 22, 2024, after a long battle with ALS. Born on June 26, 1949, in Odessa, Missouri, the eldest daughter of Bob and Mildred (Rucker) Lautenschlager. Barbara attended Bloomington High School in Bloomington, CA where she was a majorette and a member of madrigals. She became an accomplished interior designer and she absolutely loved singing and dancing. She owned and operated an in-home daycare and a gift/candy store, as well as having a 13 year long career at the Housing Authority of the County of San Bernardino. Barbara was a do-er, if you wanted anything done everyone knew she would be the one to do it. She was a superb hostess and her home was always immaculate and beautiful. Barbara was a loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader. More than anything, Barbara loved spending time with her family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her husband of 57 years Ken Williams, three children Kurt (Teresa) Williams of Sumner, WA; Michael (Sherry) Williams; Brenda (Williams) McConnell, seven grandsons Kohl Williams; Kameron (Natalie) McConnell; Austin McConnell; DeAndre Gasaway; Brad Williams; Shane Williams; Zach McConnell, two sisters Wanda (Roger) Adcock; Janet (Terry) Endicott both of Carrollton, MO, as well as a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her parents Bob and Mildred Lautenschlager. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and leaves behind a wonderful legacy of love to all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at Mountain View Mortuary 570 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino, CA 92404 on August 22, 2024 from 4:00-7:00pm with services the next day on Friday August 23, 2024 at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Network.
