William "Jay" Jewell Roney III

Jay was born on May 23, 1960 to William Jewell (Bill) Roney, II and Gabrietta Johnson Roney in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Jay was preceded in death by his father, William Jewell Roney, II and his brother-in-law, Charles Thomas Nichols. He is survived by his mother, Gabrietta Roney, his sister, Starr Roney Nichols, his son William Jewell (Willie) Roney IV, his daughter-in-law, Nicole, and his grandsons, Alexander Thomas Roney, and William Travis Roney, his niece, Kaci Starr Nichols, his nephew, Charles Clayton Nichols (Michelle) and his great nieces, Penny Marie and Sadie Maybel.

Also very important in his life is his Aunt Scarlett Lynn Aucoin, Uncle John Aucoin, Uncle Guy Johnson along with other cousins, and friends.

Jay was most proud of his time in the Army Reserves. His passion was poetry, which he shared with everyone.

Jay’s family will hold a memorial service at a later date with a private burial service after.
