Virginia M. Gutierrez

Virginia M. Gutierrez entered into the loving arms of Our Lord on September 12, 2022 at the tender age of 79. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 2, 1943 to Guadalupe Reyes and Juan E. Molina.

Virginia was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was also a 20 year member of the Union Mutua de Sociedad De Padres de Families de Marion.

Virginia was most proud of her family. She loved her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids very much. She always looked forward to family events where she was able to spend time with everyone. These happy times always brought a beautiful smile from Virginia.

One day God gazed upon Earth, there he saw Virginia. He could see that she had dedicated her life to her family and to her Church. God had noticed that it was getting harder for Virginia to manage her pain. He could see the road ahead getting tougher for her and he didn’t want to see her struggle. God knew that on Earth, she would not get any better. Looking at her tired eyes, God asked her, “are you ready to join me?” Without hesitation, she gladly said yes. So he put his arms around her and lifted her to Heaven. Virginia asked him, “What about my family? I don’t want them to worry.” God said, "you are an Angel now and you will always be there for them and when they need you most."

We can cry that she is gone but perhaps instead, we look around and see what she has left. We can miss her and that’s ok, but perhaps instead, we close our eyes and remember all of the joy she brought to our hearts.

Virginia will be reunited in heaven with her sisters, Susie Santos, Olivia Riojas, and brother in law Raul Riojas; and brothers, Luis Molina, Billy Molina, and great granddaughter, Lisa Marie Razo.

Virginia is survived by her two brothers Albert (Rosemary) Molina, and Sonny Molina.

Virginia’s memory will forever live in her children, Robert (Marie) Gutierrez, Patricia (Daniel) Castellanos, Rebecca (Alfredo) Resendes, and Ruth (Robert) Cruz; grandchildren, Melissa Gonzales, Pamela Gutierrez, Krystal Gutierrez, Bobby Gutierrez, Alfred M. (Frances) Castellanos, Erica N. Castellanos (Rogelio), Barbara Castellanos, O.J. (Melissa) Hernandez, A.J. Resendes, Virginia “Genie” Resendes, Jessica Hernandez, Jennifer Hernandez, Regina Garcia, Rico Cruz, and Reachelle Garcia; great grandchildren, Jason Jr., Julian, Jalissa, Jayden, Xavier, Paul Jr., Alania, Alfred Jr., Izabella, Daniella, Lauren, Adrian, Aciel, Kailani, Matteo, Owen, Andrea, Carlos “Boy” Razo, Emilio, Sophia, Emma, Jaraceli, Jaelene, Jozalyn, Gamecindo, Cesar, Izaiha, and Moses.
