Ginny Lee as she was known to many was born to Lee Roy Chadwell and
Virginia Chadwell, August 31, 1946, in San Antonio, Texas. She
graduated from Providence High School in 1964. She married Martin
Diver in 1966, and they lived together in San Antonio, Texas. Together
they raised two children.
She is survived by: James and Katherine Diver Hines (daughter) and
Patrick and Debra Diver (son), Carli Diver and Makayla Hines
(granddaughters) and Devin Diver and Jesse Hines and his wife, Alaina Griffel Hines
(grandsons). She also leaves to cherish her memory four brothers Charles Joseph Dugan
& wife Lulu Lopez, David Chadwell, Michael Chadwell & Harla Spooner,
James Chadwell and wife Madeline and numerous/nieces/nephews/.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Ginny Lee worked as a warranty administrator for Barrett Jaguar
Ferrari for 33 years. She loved sewing, especially making little girl
clothes with ruffles on the butt. Ginny Lee always said “she didn’t
want little girls looking like hoochie mommas. They need ruffles
on their butts!” She also enjoyed staying at Medina Lake, riding
on the boat and dancing to Funky Cold Medina! Always loving
life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16th from 6-8 pm at Sunset Funeral Home; 1701 Austin Hwy; San Antonio, TX 78218. A funeral mass is scheduled for May 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady
of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste, Texas. A luncheon will follow at
the church hall. A graveside interment will take place at Sunset
Memorial Park on Austin Hwy in San Antonio, Texas after lunch at 2:00
PM. Father Paul Cleary will officiate the ceremony. We would like to
thank everyone at New Century Hospice, especially Laura Benner and
Angela Tovar for their loving care of Ginny Lee.
