Tony enlisted in the United States Army in July 22, 1941- Company B 151st Infantry. He was involved in World War II Battle of Luzon in the Philippines and the New Guinea Campaign. He became a squad leader and achieved a rank of Sergeant. Amongst this achievement he also received numerous decorations and citations while in the Army. Tony was honorably discharged from the Army on October 14, 1945.
After his military career he returned home to Temple, Texas where he met the love of his life Baldomera Pinon. They married and moved to San Antonio, Texas to call home. This is where he started a career at Kelly Air Force Base as a Radio/Radar Aircraft Installer and would retire from Kelly Air Force Base after 40 years of service. They raised four loving sons: Robert, Tony, Arthur and Oscar.
Tony was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all. His passion for natural remedies was known to all. No matter what the ailment was, he had the remedy. He believed that God’s natural sources were the best remedies for our mind, body and soul. He enjoyed life. Watching old western movies was always a must and keeping up with the Dallas Cowboys.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Genaro and Leonarda Mojica, his wife Baldomera Mojica, son Robert Mojica, numerous brothers and sisters (10) to be exact.
He is survived by his sons: Tony Mojica, Arthur Mojica, Oscar Mojica and their spouses. His brother Andrew Mojica, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
So let’s celebrate dad’s life. Thank you dad. We love you, and you will be missed.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel Roy Akers 515 N. Main Ave. on Monday, April 9, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on April 10, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at St. Peter Prince of The Apostles Catholic Church, 111 Barilla Pl, Alamo Heights, Texas with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
