She was born on September 18, 1925, in San Antonio, TX. Tommie was the daughter of Frank Bueno and Maria de Jesus Medina Bueno.
Tommie attended St. John Boscoe Catholic School and Laredo Martin High School. Tommie recruited 7 of her friends to become nuns at St. John Boscoe Convent in San Antonio and attended their 7 Jubilees.
Tommie graduated from Alamo Beauty College where she became a licensed hair stylist and served her clients of all ages and genders for 55 years. She went to a hair styling course taught by Vidal Sassoon and Paul Mitchell in New York City. She was a manager at the Frost Brs. Beauty Salon and the Hilton Palacio Del Rio Beauty Salon. When she retired, she opened her own salon from her residence and operated her salon for 10 years.
She loved traveling, gambling, and watching novellas. She traveled to Las Vegas, Chicago, New York City, Cap Cod, Dallas, Austin, Cancun, and Cozumel.
Tommie loved music and songs by Juan Gabriel, Luis Miguel, Chicago, the Eagles, Santana, and Dianna Ross and the Supremes. She loved 70's music and the Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Tommie was married to Antonio Gaitan Lopez for 53 years. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 11, 1999.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, 3 brothers, 1 sister, and her son, Michael Anthony Bueno Lopez (Tony).
She is survived by her daughter, Maria Bueno Lopez and 2 sisters, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
