Timoteo Rodriguez Fierro was born on January 24, 1934, in Marathon, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, daughter Annabelle, and son Paul. He is survived by his loving wife, Maria for 68 years, his daughter Brenda, son-in-law Jimmy, son Guy, daughter-in-law Betty, grandchildren, Ricky, Adra, Starr, JJ, Tabitha, Joshua, Alyssa, Anesia, Amanda, Stacey, and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Flo, Mary Kay, and brother Jr.
Timo served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years. He proudly fought for his country in Korea and Vietnam. He survived being shot down in a C130 aircraft and being surrounded by the enemy for 77 days during the Battle of Khe Sanh. After his retirement from the Marine Corps, he worked at Lackland Air Force Base and then at Kelly Air Force Base for another 25 years.
Timo enjoyed spending time with his family, holiday celebrations, and vacations in Las Vegas and Hawaii. Easter Sundays were extra special spending time at MacArthur Park with family and friends.
Timo’s family will feel his absence daily from their lives. He touched so many and left all of us with wonderful memories that we will cherish forever. We will certainly miss him, and we rejoice that without a doubt he is now in the presence of the Lord in Heaven! Semper Fi!
