She is survived in memory by her loving husband of 57 years, Raul S. Zuniga, her son Raul Zuniga II “Monito”, Daughter-in-law Jamie Zuniga, Grandsons Matthew Zuniga, Joshua Urrabazo and Jonathan Zuniga. Granddaughter-in-law Heather Zuniga, Great grandson Jasiah and Axton Zuniga. Brother Edward “Eddie” Galvez, Sister-in-law Irma Galvez, Nephews Adam and David Galvez.
Mrs.Zuniga is remembered as a prideful, independent, and joyful woman who held her Catholic faith near and dear to her heart. She enjoyed family gatherings, Tejano music and talking on the phone. She was a social butterfly, always so welcoming, caring, loving and would light up any room. Sylvia made a number of lifelong friends along the way and maintained close family relations that loved her dearly. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Momo, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend.
Our family would like to sincerely thank all for their support over the years especially leading up to her final days.
Thank you, Momo, for all the great memories you gave us. You will forever be engraved in our hearts, always loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. We love you for all eternity.
A visitation for Sylvia will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Mass of Resurrection will be on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Bonaventure Church, 1918 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211. Services will conclude at the church. Cremation Burial at San Jose Cemetery will be scheduled at a later date.
