Steve M. Mata was called home to be with the Lord, on October 15, 2013 at the age of 59. He is preceded in death by his loving mother Queen Emilia Mata, brother Benito Mata, sisters; Rosa Ruiz, Dolores and Isabel Mata. Steve is survived by his loving father Benito D. Mata, brother David Mata, son Steve Mata Jr., daughter Valerie Mata and their mother Odilia, grandchildren Ariel, Daniel, aunt Cruz Salcedo, uncle Robert Mauricio, “ Mi Amor” Sandra Anderson, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation will begin Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 5:00 p.m. at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home Friday, October 18, 2013 at 12:30 pm for a 1:00 pm mass of resurrection at St. Timothy Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
