Stephen Bernal Leija

He is preceded in death by his parents Leobardo and Olga Leija.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Sylvia J. Leija, children Brian Leija (Angie), Stephanie Leija (John), Jonathan Leija (Sandra), Samantha, grandchildren, Angelique, Genesis, Jocelynn, Aaralyn, Amerey, Zane, Jayden, Alexis, Jonathan Jr, great-grandchildren, Angel & Anthony, siblings, Leobardo Jr. (Gloria), Rachel, Leonard (Norma), Carmen, Daniel, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Stephen Bernal Leija was born in Shepherd Michigan to Olga Villarreal Leija and Leobardo Leija on November 30,1964. Stephen Bernal Leija married his middle school sweetheart, Sylvia Jane Sauceda on April 14,1984. She was the most important aspect of his life.They were blessed with four children.

Stephen was an avid plumber and was the sole provider to his family. He was a devoted father and husband. He loved the outdoors, the Dallas Cowboys, backyard b-b-Ques, fishing, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was the life of every party. His big personality, humor and laughter will be forever cherished. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all that knew him.

A visitation for Stephen will be held Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Angel Trevino Funeral Home, 2525 Palo Alto Rd, San Antonio, TX 78211, followed by a rosary at 7:00 PM. Services will conclude at the funeral home.
