Sharon Lynn (King) Fowler passed into the Lord’s peace on Christmas Day, 2022 at a hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Sharon was born in Concord, CA on May 7, 1957. Her family moved to Kailua, Hawaii when Sharon was in primary school. She is a graduate of Kailua HS and Kapiolani Community College.
Sharon married Fred Fowler in 1978 in Kaneohe, HI and they moved around the country multiple times on military orders. Sharon has been living in Memory Care facilities in San Antonio for the past 5 years as she has battled with early onset dementia. Sharon had lived in Naperville, Il for some 25 years prior to moving to Texas.
She was a multi-talented individual. She worked many years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, including 15 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, where she established their first Pulmonary Rehab program. She was a Master Gardener, a stained-glass artist, an avid bicyclist, and a painter. She loved to cook but hated clean-up! She loved all animals and especially cherished her pet cats, dogs, and birds.
She is survived by her mother Betty Guerreiro of Kailua, HI, her husband Fred Fowler of Forest View, IL, her daughter Megan Robert of DuPont, WA, her son Dr. Justin Fowler of San Antonio, TX, her sister Susan Anderson of Aurora, IL, four grandchildren and numerous nieces, grand nieces, and nephews.
It was Sharon’s desire to be cremated with her ashes interned in Kailua/Lanikai, Hawaii. There will be a celebration of her life on Oahu for her family in mid-February 2023.
