Ruth T. Pena

On May 22, 2011 our beautiful mother, Ruth T. Pena surrounded by her children and family members left this earth. She was immediately greeted by our Heavenly Father. We had the pleasure of celebrating her 85th birthday early on May 7, 2011. She stated how this particular event was the best ever. She was preceded in death by her husband, our father Jesus A. Pena. She is survived by their children: Tony Pena (Elaine), Louisa Thomas, Clem Davila (Ray), Veronica Cuellar, Ruth Buesing, Sylvia Pena, Rachel Pena; 18 grandchildren; great-grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren. Our mother was cared for by our sister, Ruth, who made her life full of life and laughter. We will always remember the fun time with her and those memories will keep her alive in our hearts. We want to especially thank Dr. Raul Santoscoy and staff for all the love and care they provided, also all the medical staff at St. Luke’s, who comforted and extended her such loving care. You are all angels. Our mother was loved by many and she remembered and mentioned frequently how she always loved them. Mom, we will miss you so much, but are comforted by knowing that your pain has seized. The family will receive friends at 5:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel Roy Akers with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 31, 2011 to celebrate a 9:30 a.m., Funeral Mass at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
