Rose Mary Barkley (née Ridd) passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and John Ridd Sr., and her beloved husband, Robert E. Barkley Sr. Rose Mary is survived by her seven children: Paddy Kunkle (John), Robert Barkley Jr. (Debbie), Richard Barkley (Heather), John Barkley (Irma), Kathy Landry (Doug), Jim Barkley (Diane), and Peggy Thomas (Bruce). She also leaves behind her brother, John Ridd Jr. (Diane), ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and dear friends.
Rose Mary will be fondly remembered for her warmth, kindness, and deep love for her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A Viewing and Rosary will be held on October 2nd from 6 PM to 9 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78218
Funeral services will be held on October 3rd at 12:30 PM at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1114 Willow St, San Antonio, TX 78208. Burial will follow at 2 PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX 78209
