On 29 May 2013, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and nephew, Ronald D. Holt went to his Heavenly Home to join his family and friends who preceded him. He is survived by his wife Sieglinde Holt. They had recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. He is also survived by his two sons, five grandchildren, an aunt, uncle, brother and sister. Ron retired after 30 years of service in the U.S. Army. During those years he served in Germany, India and Vietnam and was awarded the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal with 1st Oak Leaf Cluster, and numerous other medals and awards. He retired as Sergeant Major of the 5th Army Inspector General’s office. Services provided by Sunset Memorial Park, 1701 Austin Hwy. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
