Romana R. Castaneda

Romana R. “Lupe” Castañeda born February 28, 1935 passed away to be with our Lord on July 11, 2018 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vicente and Soledad Rodriguez; brothers, Ernest and Vince. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Henry G. Castañeda; children, Henry Jr. (Teresa), Celia (Mark Kiser), Robert (Patricia), Steve (Sophie); siblings, Raymond, Joe (Connie) and Juan Rodriguez (Yolanda); grandchildren, Anthony, Marcus, Raymond Botello (Elizabeth), Rachel (Cody), Robert, Natasha, Zachary, Veronica, and Stevie Rae; great grandchildren, Kaylee, Kaleb, Abigail, James and Arianna; and numerous nephews and nieces. Lupe graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1954. She loved sewing, gardening and cooking, especially tamales. Most of all, Lupe loved spending time with family and watching over her grandchildren.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino Funeral Home from 5:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00p.m. On Friday, July 27, 2018, family will meet at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church at 11:00a.m. for a Mass of Resurrection to be held at 12:00p.m. Procession will follow for interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
