Roman was born September 5, 1961 in Flint, MI to Rosemary (Black) and the late Dr Stanley Turner. He attended Westwood Heights School System and graduated from Saginaw High School after which Roman joined the United States Air Force where he retired after 26 years of service. After retirement Roman and his family moved from Northern California to San Antonio, TX. He then began working for Northeast Methodist Hospital where he worked 11 dedicated years. Roman’s pastime included listening to music, watching pretty much all sports, most notably NASCAR, tennis, NFL & NBA; his favorite teams being the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Golden State Warriors. Roman loved spending time with his “two girls” as he would refer to his wife and daughter.
Roman was predeceased by his father, Stanley Turner, and father in law, Johnny D Rodriguez, Sr.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dinah Turner, his adoring daughter Jordan Simone Turner of San Antonio, TX, mother Rosemary Turner of Flint, MI, sister Lisa Turner of Hartford, CT, mother in law Viola Rodriguez of Clovis, NM, brother in laws Johnny Jr (Ronnie Ann) Rodriguez and children Bradkyn, Ciera & Tre of Las Vegas, NV, Wallie (Estella) Rodriguez of Clovis, NM, Isaiah (Kelsie) Rodriguez and sons Kendrick & Karston of Clovis, NM. A host of family from Flint,MI and friends including Erin McGary, Angie Butler, Jennifer Boeve, Caroline Sanchez, Fred Padua and the rest of his Northeast Methodist family.
The Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 31, 2018 at the Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery with the Full Air Force Honors.
