Rolando Santos

Rolando Santos was born in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Jorge and Dolores Santos and had 14 brothers and sisters. Rolando is survived by Emma Bocanegra Santos, his wife of 64 years, and is also survived by his five children, 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and ten brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Jorge Santos and Dolores Santos, his sisters Petra "Peti" Gallegos and Gloria Flores, and brother Romeo Santos.

His surviving children are Rolando Santos, Jr. (Kathy), Jose A. Santos, Lourdes Santos Gutierrez (Rick), Javier Santos (Cecilia), and George Santos. Grandchildren are Kara Breakall, Alexis Song, Ricky Gutierrez, Sharon Bernal, Jaulton Santos, Sharissa Santos, Alyssa Santos, Christian Santos, Makayla Santos, Brandi Santos, Bethany Gutierrez, Anissa Santos, Christina Gutierrez.

Rolando is remembered as a lively, generous, warm-hearted soul who loved to share stories and make people laugh. Rolando and Emma moved several times during their life which included living in Monterrey, Mexico, Illinois, California, and Texas. He worked at a meat packing company until he had a serious heart attack. After that experience, Rolando kept himself busy buying and selling cars, working at a grocery store, and helping people out in any way possible. Rolando went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home at age 87.
