Dear Roger
I’m grateful for everything you’ve done and said to me, from getting me my crib when I was a baby to giving me life advice and motivation saying that you were proud of me also to keep up the hard work and when you would give us snacks from your ice cream truck. I’m very blessed, thankful to have you as my uncle and all the memories I have of you that I will cherish forever in my heart. You were always selfless, always the jokester that always brought smiles everywhere you go and always gave wisdom to people everywhere you went. I’ve learned so much from you. One day we’ll see each other again and it’ll be all of us but until then I’ll keep working hard and making you proud and I will keep looking out and taking care of my mom like you always would say. You were like another parent to me thank you Uncle Roger, love you always

Dayna and family, I am so sorry for your loss. While I didn't know you all for very long, we were neighbors who looked out for each other. I will miss your Dad and his ice cream truck going by. He was a wonderful person and he loved his children immensely. My prayers are with you and the family. Rest in peace Roger.

RIH Roger! I will miss seeing you on the holidays and watching the playoffs and the fights! I knew when you didn’t show up for New Years something was wrong! You were family to me and my family! Roger I can’t believe you are no longer with us.  You had such a big heart.  I know it was years since we talked but you were a part of my family. Big bro,

 I thank God for blessing me with you as my brother. This is hard bro, I don’t want to believe it but I know you’re at rest. I love you bro and I’ve always looked up to you. I’m sorry I couldn’t give you my respect and say goodbye properly. Debbie, Tony ,EJ and I love you. As long as I’m alive through my preaching you’ll forever live on. I know you told me it’s time to chill and in the streets there ain’t no love. Just know I love you big bro and I’ll be ok because I serve a big God. 

God In Jesus name I pray for my family.  I know it’s hard for them to accept the fact that you have called our brother home. Holy Spirit, please have your way. I pray that you soften their hearts and show them about love and forgiveness. Guide them the right way, all this division and hatred that they have in their heart and if they truly are Christians show them how to unite the family and not use your name wrongfully to try and hurt their brothers and sisters. Please show them how to love and not use your word for wrong and help them walk obedient and not be misled by their own beliefs and feelings. And if they truly are your children then they will conduct themselves like you and not hide behind the cross.

Roger, my heart is heavy knowing you’re no longer here. We shared some crazy and fun times and you always took care of me. Thank you for being there, talking to me about life and showing me to be street smart, for caring and being the big cousin you were. You meant so much to my grandpa & he loved you very much. I love you and you will be missed. I am grateful we spent the time we did together and I will forever cherish that.

Roger was in my second grade class at Kindred Elementary School.  He was such a handsome little boy with great big dimples. He was a very good artist. I am so sad that he is gone.
