Robert Salas Jr., born on August 15, 1974 at Brooks Army Medical Center in Fort Sam Houston, Texas, was called to be with the Lord on November 26, 2014 at the age of 40. Robert enjoyed riding his motorcycle, playing basketball with his nephew, but mostly spending time with his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Miguel and Esperanza Salas; maternal grandparents, Juan and Maria Cavazos. He is survived by his parents, Robert Salas Sr. and Alice C. Salas; sister, Christina Salas (Jeanette Paredes); brother, Gregory Salas (Becky); nephew, Gregory Michael Salas; nieces, Celeste Meagan Salas and Ava Sovay Paredes; also, numerous aunts, uncles, cousin and many friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 4535 Lord Rd. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Services will conclude at the Church.
