Robert John Rinehold, age 84, passed away in his home by the side of his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara Rinehold, on July 18, 2021. He was born in El Paso, TX on April 8, 1937 to Herbert (Dutch) and Veronica (Ronnie) Rinehold. His youth was lived in the Alamo Heights area of San Antonio, TX, then later years in the Bulverde/Spring Branch, TX area. Robert was well known for candy, cars, and endless advice! Also, being a sharp dresser. Easily recognized by his gentleman’s hat, fancy cane, and big smile. Having been a leading sales manager over 23 years for Nabisco/Kraft Heinz, there were always sweet treats for all. He was the LifeSavers candy man! His true passion was remodeling vintage vehicles and he was a master craftsman. Those who knew him had deep respect for his vast knowledge and willingness to help others. As a father/grandfather, he was a pillar of strength and remains the voice in our heads encouraging us to be safe, learn constantly, and do more. The love of his life was his beautiful bride Barbara which he met in summer school at the age of 17 and he absolutely adored her every day. Young sweethearts forever in love.
Robert Rinehold is survived by his amazing wife Barbara Rinehold, and children: Cheryl Lawter and Michael Rinehold. Granddaughters raised: Terie Mitchell and Cherylann Lipkin. Great Grandchildren: Kaylie Fitzgibbons, Autumn Spalding, Nicholas Spalding, Marshall Lipkin, and Zoe Hunter.
