Robert B. Parmenter Jr. entered into eternal rest on November 19, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born on October 9, 1953 in Detroit, Michigan to Robert Parmenter Sr. and Ernestina (Garza) Parmenter.
Robert and his family moved to El Paso, TX and in 1971 he graduated from Burges High School and went on to study at the University of California, Berkley. Earning his degree in biology and graduating in 1975 with a Bachelor’s of Science.
After graduation Robert dedicated his life to the service of his country. He served 20 years of Combined Active Service in the United States Army and Army Reserves. He began his career as a helicopter pilot, flying UH-1 Huey Helicopters and Maintenance Test Pilot and retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He then ventured fulltime into working proudly in Federal Service with Department of Defense for 33 years.
Upon retirement he enjoyed the little things, he had a fondness for reading, calligraphy, and knot tying. He was an avid collector of knives and watches and also loved to build and create them as well. He loved to watch movies, a good horror movie or a classic western. Robert was a fan of any Tarantino movie and enjoyed watching episodes of Two & Half Men, but his great joy was the time he got to spend with his family.
Robert leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years, Cathy, his three wonderful children; Bobby, Chris, and Michelle, his sweet grandchildren Tyler and Sebastian, and his dear younger brothers Ricky John and Leonard.
He has now been reunited with his parents; Robert Sr. and Ernestina Parmenter.
