Rita Reese Brightwell, age 88, passed away on January 10, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on August 24, 1934 in San Antonio, Texas. Rita was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.
Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Brightwell, her mother Constance Raley, her sisters, Patricia Barnett and June Liska, her daughter, Mary Liddy and her granddaughter, Kendall Lawrence. She is survived by her children, Karen Nowacek, John Liddy, and Allyson Tollette (Michael); her grandchildren, Charlie, Carey, Jack, Allie, Mitch, and Wes; and her great-grandchildren, Olivia Lucca, Shepherd, Lola, and Layla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 20th at 11:00 am in the Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum II Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita’s name may be given to San Antonio Pets Alive (www.sanantoniopetsalive.org).
