Mr. Madrigal served in the US Navy for 4 years and worked at Miller Curtain Co. for 13 years. Mr. Madrigal retired after 26 years with the Bexar County Sheriff Office. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Virginia Madrigal; daughters Kathy Rodriguez and husband Clark Rodriguez, Deborah Poe-Nevarez and husband Joe Nevarez; sons George Jimmy Poe, Jerry Poe and wife Yvette Poe, Isaac Madrigal and wife Veronica Madrigal and Richard Madrigal Jr., 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and family 5-9, on Monday, February 8, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home, 1701 Austin Highway with a Rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Everyone will meet on Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Helena’s Catholic Church, 14714 Edgemont, San Antonio, TX 78247 at 9:00 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Services will conclude following the mass with an inurnment to follow at Fort Sam Houston at a later date.
