Richard was a smart, friendly, loyal, and a very good friend

Terry, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I remember your dad when y'all lived on Kirk. He always had a smile and nothing ever seemed to bothered him. Know that he is with our Lord in his presence and we shall all be together for all eternity and there will be no tears, no saddness but only joy. Our family is sorry to hear of the passing of Richard Castillo. My Dad and I tried to make it to the rosary but his health would not allow it. Richard was my Mothers cousin. My Mom was Ramona Castillo Contreras. My family and I are very sorry for your loss. Anna

My condolences to Richard's family. He truly was an awesome man and it was an honor to have known him. I knew him from playing basketball at Marshall HS and Zachry MS. He was always there with encouragement and great advice about anything, then he would drain that corner shot and smile. you will be missed my friend

Richard had the biggest smile and always something cheerful to say.  We were fellow workers at Fort Sam and shared rides sometimes.  He was a great guy and I will miss him.

I'm saddened to hear of his loss. May GOD Bless the Castillo Family. Richard and I were friends/co-workers for many years. He was a true role model and such a loving and caring person. He was an inspiration. I had the opportunity to watch him ball and I bet he was number one in the Senior League he played on, I truly was impressed. May he Rest in Peace!
