Ramon Lozano, age 97, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on September 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Born on August 8,1927 to Eucario Lozano and Josefa Lozano. He was a member of several churches however his life's work was dedicated to St. Dominic's Catholic Church. He retired from the United States Navy after serving over 42 years. He retired with the rank of Chief Petty officer and served during WWII, Korea and Vietnam Wars. He was employed with the Department of Defense at Kelly Air Force Base and retired in 1985. He was a Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus, ACTS Brothers and an active volunteer for St. Vincent de Paul.
Ramon is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Maria Del Socorro Lozano, his parents, his two sisters Eloisa and Mary Ruth, six brothers Joe, Roy, Manuel, Vincent, Narciso, and Angel. Survived by his daughter, Martha Lozano, son, Roy Lozano (wife, Mary), daughter, Grace Lozano, son Raymond Lozano (wife, Priscilla). He has 10 grandchildren, Adriana Oatley (husband, Mark), Stephanie Martinez (husband, Jeffery), Briana Cabello (husband, Peter), Marcella Gonzalez, Anthony Lozano (wife, Selena), Isabella Gonzalez, Gabriella Herzig (husband, Mario), Claudia Lozano (husband, Hector Ibarra), Alejandra Gonzalez, Emma Lozano. He has 10 great grandchildren, Matthew Oatley, Brian Oatley, Armin Martinez, Meira Cabello, Anael Martinez, Aluz Martinez, Rhea Cabello, Annalise Herzig, Mateo Lozano, and Iyla Cabello. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
