Peggy Holtzer went to be with the Lord on February 22, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She is the beloved wife of Daniel Holtzer; beloved mother of Jennifer Feeley and her husband John, Jessica Holtzer, Juliette Neifert and her husband Eric, Rebecca Jean Smith and her husband Chris and Danielle Holtzer. She was born November 30, 1951 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a member of the Air Force (1975-1986) serving as Radio Communications Analyst and rising to the grade of Technical Sergeant. She received the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Air Force Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster. Recently she was awarded a 35-year Federal Service Pin. Peggy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes. A memorial service will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 at Zion Lutheran Church of Helotes, 9943 Leslie Road, San Antonio.
