Officer David G. Evans

David Glen Evans, was born in Artesia, CA on May, 17th 1951 to Lori Clark Evans and Edith Slade Evans. David was called to his heavenly home on February, 25th 2022 at the age of 70. David lived his life immersed in service to others and his christian community.

David, widely known as Pigme, had a golden heart and shining sense of humor to match. He was often found with a smile, and open hand to all those he came across. David Evans served 30 dutiful years with SAPD, and took great pride in putting the needs of his city before his own. Some of David's years in his career were done in service as security to Pastor Hagee at Cornerstone church, and within NEISD. Through his work, Officer Evans garnered many friends and colleagues along the way.

Outside of his work, David enjoyed Sunday night football, bringing family together with backyard BBQ's and sharing his testimony of God's saving grace within his life.

David's endearment for his lifelong work could only be matched by his love for family. He was a dedicated and doting husband to Elizabeth Evans, whom he often referred to as his Omega; as well as a loving father, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his childrens mother, Charleen Goehman. David is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Evans; children, Jennifer Lori Morales and husband George, Jeffrey Charles Evans and wife Ellie, and Julie Louise Terrazas and husband Lorenzo; grandchildren, Matthew Belt, Jacob Belt, Myranda Morales, Amanda Galvan and husband Jonathan, George Morales IV, Madeline Evans, Benjamin Evans, Jack Evans, Jenna Hudson, Jason Valdez, Joslyn Terrazas, Jeremiah Terrazas, Regina Terrazas, Lawrence Terrazas, and Angelo Terrazas; 5 brothers; 2 sisters; as well as numerous extended family members, brothers and sisters in law enforcement, and a lifetime of friends.
