Nora was born to Cecil and Martha Cunningham on December 11, 1926, in Three Rivers Texas. She was baptized in the Three Rivers Baptist Church and grew up in a Christian Family. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in 1944 and received a business degree from Draughon’s Business College in 1945. After graduation, Nora started working at Handy Andy Grocery Stores. It was there she met Tommy Taubert and in 1953, they were married. They had one daughter, Cheryl. Nora Mae and Tommy were married 30 years. They started their lives together in San Antonio Texas but moved to Boerne Texas in 1965. It was there they were able to raise their daughter and watch their grandchildren grow up.
She also worked at Brunners Department Store for a few years. Then she was offered a job at American National Insurance Company. She retired after 32 years.
After Tommy passed away, Nora Mae met and married James Bryant. They moved to Calliham Texas in 1995 to be close to Choke Canyon to go fishing.
After James passed away, Nora Mae moved back to Boerne in 2013 to be with her daughter due to health problems.
In 2021, Nora Mae moved to the Heritage Place Assisted Living in Boerne Texas. She met new friends, played games, and helped others even when she wasn’t strong herself. Nora Mae resided there until more health issues moved to Mary’s House Hill Country January 2024 in Boerne Texas.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Rayburg, son-in-law Mike, grandson Dr. Cory Rayburg, Stepson Don Taubert, daughter-in-law Suzanne, grandson, Dee Taubert, (Trish) twins Nathan (Nhaya) and Zachary, daughter Piper, Katie, Clemie, Hannah and Lily Huron and grandson Chris Taubert (Donna) Logan and Avery.

She will be missed by all.
